What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict unauthorized occupants because the Tenants moved out and transferred occupancy to their adult children without the Landlord's consent. The Landlord also sought compensation for the period of unauthorized use of the unit.

The ruling

The LTB terminated the tenancy and ordered the unauthorized occupants to vacate the unit by September 8, 2025. The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord the $201 application fee plus daily compensation of $37.27 for each day they or the occupants remain in the unit starting June 1, 2025.
