What happened
The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to their failure to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board. The Tenants failed to pay $1,300 rent on or before November 1, 2021 as required by the previous order.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 25, 2022. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $20,753.86 in rent arrears and application costs, plus $42.74 per day in compensation for use of the unit from January 15, 2022 until the Tenants move out. If the full amount is not paid by January 25, 2022, the Tenants will owe interest and the Landlord can file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
