What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to undue damage to the rental unit and residential complex, and substantial interference with the Landlord's reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest. The Landlord claimed compensation for the damage and for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 18, 2021. The Tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before August 18, 2021. The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $2,962.86 for the reasonable costs of repairing the damage, $65.75 per day for compensation for the use of the unit from August 19, 2021 to the date they move out, and $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owing by August 18, 2021, they will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
