What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant substantially interfering with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant. The Landlord claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The Landlord's application is granted, but the tenancy is preserved subject to conditions. The Tenant has until July 31, 2024 to clear the unit of clutter and provide access to fire safety equipment. If the Tenant fails to comply, the Landlord may apply for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant.
