What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to persistent late payment of rent. The Tenants were not present at the hearing, although properly served with notice.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 20, 2021. The Tenants must move out by that date and pay the Landlord $28.73 per day for use of the unit from May 4, 2021 until they move out, as well as $186 for the application filing fee. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owed by May 20, 2021, they will start accruing interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
