What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants because the Tenant, another occupant of the rental unit or a person the Tenant permitted in the residential complex has seriously impaired the safety of any person and the act or omission occurred in the residential complex.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated as of April 24, 2024. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) so that the eviction may be enforced. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $8,718.90 for use of the unit from October 21, 2023 to February 27, 2024, and $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. The Landlord owes the Tenant $2,040.00 for the rent deposit and interest, which is deducted from the amount owed by the Tenant. The total amount the Tenant owes the Landlord is $6,864.90. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by April 24, 2024, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 7.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
