What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to persistent late payment of rent. The Tenant had been late in paying rent 11 out of 12 months prior to the application, and 5 out of 6 months after the application was filed.
The ruling
The Tenant is ordered to pay any outstanding rent arrears by August 31, 2021, and to pay rent on time going forward from September 1, 2021 to August 31, 2022. If the Tenant fails to make any of these payments, the Landlord may apply to the Board to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant.
