What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to the Tenant or another occupant of the rental unit committing an illegal act or carrying on an illegal trade, business or occupation, and because the Tenant, another occupant of the rental unit or a person the Tenant permitted in the residential complex has seriously impaired the safety of any person. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The Landlord's application for eviction is denied on the condition that the Tenant or an occupant of the rental unit shall not substantially interfere with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant, including but not limited to renting out rooms to individuals for quarantine purpose. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application.
