What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent and persistent late payment of rent. The Landlord served a valid Notice of Termination, and the Tenant was in possession of the rental unit on the application date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective March 31, 2021 unless the Tenant pays $1,790 by that date to void the eviction order and continue the tenancy. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction. If the Tenant voids the L1 application, the tenancy will continue on the condition that the Tenant pays rent on time going forward.
