What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to substantial interference with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant, and for damage to the premises caused wilfully or negligently by the Tenant, another occupant of the rental unit or someone the Tenant permitted in the residential complex. The Landlord also applied for an order requiring the Tenant to pay the Landlord's reasonable out-of-pocket costs to repair or replace the undue damage.

The ruling

The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $1,243.00 for the cost of replacing the damaged closet doors, and $186.00 for the cost of filing the application, for a total of $1,429.00. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by September 11, 2023, the Tenant will start owing interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
