What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent they owed. The Tenants were in possession of the rental unit on the date the application was filed, and they did not pay the total rent they were required to pay for the period from May 1, 2018 to November 30, 2020.

The ruling

The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $3,543.76 in rent arrears and $190 in application filing costs, for a total of $3,733.76. If the full amount is not paid by January 17, 2021, the Tenants will start owing interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
