What happened

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective 2020-12-31, the date the Tenant vacated the rental unit. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $499.73 for compensation for use of the unit from 2020-12-12 to 2020-12-31, and $186 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by 2021-11-15, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance starting 2021-11-16.
