What happened
The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's refusal to allow the Landlord to enter the rental unit to investigate a leak, which resulted in additional damage and costs for the Landlord.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective November 14, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $1,000 for the cost of repairing the damage, $685.55 for compensation for use of the unit, and $186 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by November 14, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
