What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant physically assaulting the Landlord's agent at the residential complex, which seriously impaired the safety of the agent.
The ruling
The Landlord has proven the grounds for termination of the tenancy due to the Tenant seriously impairing the safety of the Landlord's agent through a physical assault at the residential complex. The tenancy is terminated effective April 7, 2024, and the Tenant must vacate the unit by that date. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $5,855.51, which includes compensation for use of the unit, application fees, less the rent deposit and interest. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by April 7, 2024, they will owe interest at 7% annually on the outstanding balance.
